Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists
The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) represents over 9,500 professionals working and studying in the field of Architectural Technology. CIAT is internationally recognised as the qualifying body for Chartered Architectural Technologists (MCIAT) and Architectural Technicians (TCIAT).
Construction Industry Council
The Construction Industry Council (CIC) is the representative forum for the professional bodies, research organisations and specialist business associations in the construction industry.
HEFCE
The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) promotes and funds high-quality, cost-effective teaching and research, meeting the diverse needs of students, the economy and society. HEFCE have established the ‘Economic Challenge Investment Fund’ to help the HE sector address some of the current economic challenges, enabling higher education institutions and further education colleges to support individuals and businesses affected by the recession.
Linking London Lifelong Learning Network
Linking London acts as an independent broker, conduit and catalyst for institutional change in the way vocational learners are viewed and valued. Linking London and the other Lifelong Learning Networks also have a role as a provider of staff development for partners and as a knowledge bank to increase understanding of the scale of the problem that needs addressing.
London First
London First is a business membership organisation whose mission is to make London the best city in the world in which to do business. London First delivers its activities with the support of the capital’s major businesses in key sectors such as finance, professional services, property, ICT, creative industries, hospitality and retail, mobilising the experience, expertise and enthusiasm of the private sector to develop practical solutions to the challenges facing London. London First also seeks to persuade central and London government to make the investments that London needs in its infrastructure.
Royal Institute of British Architects
RIBA London is the body for architecture and the architectural profession in the capital. It provides support for 12,500 members in London through training, technical services, publications and events. It promotes excellence in the profession and the value of good design through engagement with decision and policy-makers to encourage a design-led approach to capital investment.
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
RICS is the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property and construction.
Royal Town Planning Institute
The RTPI is a dynamic organisation leading the way in the creation of places that work now and in the future.
The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers
CIBSE is the prime source of expertise for sustainable buildings. They harness member skills and knowledge to raise competence across the industry.
